RE: CONDOLENCE MESSAGE ON THE DEATH THROUGH A STAMPEDE OF 14 PUPILS AT KAKAMEGA PRIMARY SCHOOL, KAKAMEGA COUNTY, KENYA
It is with profound shock and grief that we at the East African Community have received the sad news of the demise through a stampede of 14 pupils at Kakamega Primary School, Kakamega County, Kenya, on the evening of Monday, 3rd February, 2020.
On behalf of the East African Community and on my own behalf, I convey my heartfelt condolences to your Excellency, and through you to: the bereaved families, relatives and friends of the deceased pupils; the Government, and; the people of the Republic of Kenya.
We mourn the demise of the pupils who died in a stampede as they left school for the day. We also wish quick recovery to the pupils who sustained injuries in the incident.
The entire EAC and I share with the families of the pupils, and the Government and people of Kenya, the feelings of great loss at this time of grief.
