INVITATION TO TENDER FOR PROVISION OF DEDICATED HIGH PERFORMANCE INTERNET SERVICES TO EAC HEADQUARTERS IN ARUSHA-TANZANIA MPLS AND FOR PARTNER STATE MINISTRIES RESPONSIBLE FOR EAC AFFAIRS AND MPLS CONNECTION FOR THE FIVE (5) INSTITUTIONS.

The East African Community (EAC) is a regional organization mandated by the Governments of the Republic of Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Republic of Kenya, Republic of Rwanda, Republic of South Sudan, Federal Republic of Somalia, the Republic of Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania (URT) to spearhead the East African economic, social and political integration agenda.
The Treaty for Establishment of the East African Community was signed on 30th November 1999 and entered into force on 7th July 2000.
The EAC Secretariat (‘the Secretariat’) has adopted ICTs and continues to develop IT infrastructure in order to facilitate and support daily activities and operations. This has resulted in an increased efficiency.
Strengthening the institutional capacity of the EAC, at both the national and regional levels, is a key strategic objective of the EAC. Improving the speed and efficiency of communications among EAC institutions, Partner States and development partners is an integral component of this process.
The East African Community Secretariat now wishes to invite bids from eligible Bidders for:
Provision of Dedicated High Performance Internet Services to EAC Headquarters in Arusha-Tanzania MPLS and for Partner State Ministries Responsible for EAC affairs and MPLS connection for the five (5) Institutions for the Financial Year 23/24.
Bidding will be conducted through the Open Tender and is open to all eligible bidders.
Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0900 to 1700 hours at the address below on or before 18th May, 2024 at 11.00 am East Africa time.
The bidding will be conducted by submission through the EAC Electronic procurement system. Interested bidders will be required to register and submit their bids through the EAC eprocurement system at https://eacprocurement.eac.int/. The system will reject any late bids. Bids will be publicly opened on the EAC eprocurement system. Bids will be addressed to:
